Cooperation for run school
　In order to train the talents for the modernization needs in China, based on the principle of promoting international education exchange and developing the international cooperation project, Wuxi Institute of Arts and Technology and Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology have reached an agreement on the cooperation in the field of higher vocational education.
(1) Cooperative model
　Cooperative model is “2+1” (The “2+1”students will study in WIAT for the first two years and study in MCAAT for the three year). Both parties agree to accept credits each other in all the cooperative courses. After earning all required credits, the “2+1” students will receive the diplomas from both WIAT and WCAAT.
In order to ensure the “2+1” students go to study in MCAAT, both parties agree to enhance the English learning and select foreign teachers for the English teaching to help the students reach the minimum English requirement for studying in Canada.
(2) Cooperative programs
　Both WIAT and MCAAT agree to cooperate on two postsecondary programs: Electrical Engineering Technology-Numerical Control and Business Administration.
(3) Teaching model
　30% courses will use MCAAT original English teaching materials. During the early period, dual language (Chinese-English) teaching will be used. And then, transfer to full English teaching, At last, the students are required to finish their assignments and papers in English.
English teaching model will be based on MCAAT’s recommendation: English shall be taught in small classes. The modern teaching methods will be fully used to develop students’ interest and ensure out comes.
(4) Responsibilities for WIAT
　a. Recruiting, enrolling and providing the name list to MCAAT within one month after the school commence.
　b. Take care of the “2+1” students daily management, and logging.
　c. Based on the cooperative curriculums to teach, manage and ensure teaching quality. Keep in touch closely with MCAAT and providing students’ academic records in time.
　d. Select quality teachers for “2+1” classes teaching and arrange logging and good working conditions for the foreign teachers.
　e. Providing teaching sites and facilities which including classrooms, playgrounds, labs, computer rooms, sound labs, libraries, etc.
　f. Handling daily administrations in China and ensuring smooth operation.
　g. Making the payment to the MCAAT’s RMB 1200 per student for each year.
